The Department of English is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Lisicky as the New Voices professor in Creative Writing for 2011-12.  Professor Lisicky earned a B.A. and an M.A. at Rutgers Camden, and he received his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop.  He is the author of three books, including the 1999 novel Lawnboy, Famous Builder (nonfiction, 2002), and The Burning House (novel, 2011),  and he has published numerous shorter works in anthologies and periodicals.  Among the department’s five full-time faculty members in Creative Writing, the New Voices position is filled annually.  Professor Lisicky’s predecessor was Adam Mansbach, who taught here from 2009 to 2011.
